First of all we would like to thank everyone that came out for the event. There was a HUGE turnout and everyone had a great time!

If you missed out on the night here is a quick recap for you.

 4 sets of Corn hole were set up and if you challenged our SociaBOSS to a game and won, you were lucky enough to win yourself a pair of Tickets to next weekends GLO-FOAM party!

There were tables set up for Beer pong/water pong, and flip cup. Needless to say those tables didn't go unused at any point in the night.

We had a Guitar Hero contest on stage, and after many brackets, Dan J. ending up winning the tournament and 4 tickets to the GLO-FOAM party!

If any SociaBULLS checked in with us on FB they got themselves BUY 1 GET 1 FREE on their first draft! 

The Green Sunshine Band rocked out the Captain Morgan Party Deck and got the crowd pumped up with the awesome funky reggae sound!

Not to mention the drink specials were too good to pass up; $2 Drafts, $3 Bombay Sapphire, $4 Jager Bombs!

This event was the same format and set up that our Thursday Night Hang will be like every week!

THE ULTIMAT FRIDAY NIGHT @ BISHOP LOUNGE!

DJ Sk1TTy killin' it all night long!

Always a packed house on Ultimat Friday Nights.

First Fridays are a blast, but Second Fridays at Bishop Lounge are ULTIMAT!

Bishop Lounge and Tavern consistently pack the house on both floors every Friday Night, while DJ T-QUEST in the Tavern and DJ Sk1TTy in the Lounge keep the party going all night long!

After a long day of rain it was obvious that everyone in St.Pete was going to leave their houses to beat the cabin fever, and from the looks of it last night everyone chose the one and only Bishop Lounge! The place was packed all night long and as always DJ Sk1TTy was playing awesome music!

This was the second time we sent out a REP to provide our SociaBULLS with a bottle and table at Bishop Lounge and the response was even better the second time around! So many of you came through that we ended up going through a few bottles! (CLICK HERE to see more pictures from the night)

First Friday 7-1-11 Recap!

 A little rain never hurt anyone, and by the 

looks of it, the rain didn't stop very many people from heading down town to participate in the First Friday festivities!

Jannus Live was packed with people eager to hear and sing along with their favorite songs, sung by three amazing KISS, QUEEN, and AC/DC tribute bands. Make sure to CLICK HERE and see what other acts Jannus will be bringing to us this month!

After the Concert we made our way over to Bishop Lounge, and as we told/showed you in our previous blog post, Bishops knows how to throw the ULTIMAT FRIDAY NIGHT party! There were people packed in from wall to wall on every level. DJ SkiTTy made sure that no one stopped moving until the place shut down!

Then we headed over to Vintage Ultra Lounge. When we got up to the door the line was almost 25 people deep. With a line like that outside, we could only image what it was going to be like inside. Once we got in it was just a sea of people with waves of awesome music. From front to back, there was not an empty space on the dance floor. When we went upstairs it was the same story...packed with people having a good time. Very well done Vintage, another successful First Friday!

When we got over to Push Ultra Lounge there was a line to get in, and come to find out....THEY WERE FILLED TO CAPACITY! That's right SocaiBULLS Push was so packed you literally had to wait for someone to leave before someone else could go in! The outside bar, entire inside as well as their rooftop were packed shoulder to shoulder. With numbers like that, you know they must be doing something right, needless to say it was a blast!

What You Have Been Wondering About Red-light Cameras.

We are sure by now everyone has noticed those cameras at most big intersections. But aren't you curious as to how they work and who gets all the money? Well here is a little info to help answer some of your questions.

What exactly sets off a red-light camera?

Well you know that white "stop bar" line that appears at the end of every lane to signify the beginning of an intersection, there is a laser sensor about the size of a hockey puck that is embedded behind it. 

If your car crosses that censor at 10mph or more, after the light has turned red its instructs the cameras to take 2 still photos as well as a brief video.

What determines if you're in violation?

 If the first photo shows your car with its front tires behind the stop bar after the light has turned red and then the second photo shows your car driving through the red-light. And well the video just captures the whole thing in case you try to deny it (haha). If you enter the intersection on a green or yellow and leave it on a red, there is NO violation.

What if you want to claim that you weren't driving the car?

Good luck with that one... the law makes the car owner responsible for the ticket. Proving you were not driving is not a defense unless you can identify the person who was driving and that person also admits to it. Also there is a fine of up to $500 and up to 60days in jail if you falsely say that it was not you driving.

 

Who gets the money? 

Now this is probably what most of you are wondering. Well the city or county gets $75 for each violation and then the rest of your $158 ticket goes to the state. The camera company usually receives a flat fee of $4,200 to $4,700 per camera, per month. It takes about 2 paid tickets per day to cover that cost.

Bishop Lounge throws the ULTIMAT Friday Night Party!

  To say that Bishop Lounge knows how to throw a party would be an understatement.

      

Last night was the debut of their Ultimat Friday Launch Party and they flew in a Special Guest for the night: Chanel (as seen on Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory)! 

With awesome music being mixed by T-Quest and DJ Sk1TTy, the event was going off all night long and the Lounge was packed until close and Chanel even got on stage and performed a few songs off of her upcoming album.

At one point while looking over the crowd with lights and camers flashing, the fog smoke billowing and Chanel  performing to some pumped up fans, I almost forgot I was in St.Pete. Not to mention that Benji from Good Charlotte also made an appearance after his performance at Jannus Live.  

Bishop Lounge also offered $5 Ultimat Drinks and their Ultimat VIP Package, where with every bottle you purchase you receive a complimentary .375 bottle of Patron or Rose Champagne...Who else gives you a deal like that?

So lets recap... 2 Celebrity appearances, 2 great DJs, and a 2 bottle VIP deal. Needless to say Bishop Lounge definitely knows how to throw an ULTIMAT event!
